A Marathon of Music

On December 17th, 2025, the Summit Band, Choir, and Orchestra programs will perform a marathon of music from 4:30pm to 8:30pm, live-streamed for friends and family across the globe to experience. Like a jog-a-thon, students will work to gather pledges before and during the event to collectively reach our goal of $10,000.

What to expect

Stream Disclaimer: This is a fun, casual event! Expect to hear a little chaos as each ensemble gets situated. Some of the music you hear has been prepared, some of it will be sight read, some of it may even be rehearsed a little bit on air. Our goal is to keep the music going as continuously as we can and we hope you enjoy seeing the breadth of the music programs at Summit!

Can I come to the event?

Yes! Join us! Guests are welcome in the Summit High School Auditorium from 4:15 to 8:30pm. Feel free to come and go as you like. The holiday sing-a-long begins at 8:05, we’re going to have a good time!

SCHOLARSHIPS • TRAVEL • SUPPLIES

Your donation helps support the Summit music programs directly. Funds raised will be used to support group events and travel as well as equipment purchases, clinician fees, and expanded opportunities for students.

What your support can do

$.10/minute ($24): covers 1 student audition fee for honors opportunities or a registration for Solo & Ensemble festival

$.25/minute ($60): pays for 1 piece of orchestral or jazz music (score and parts for the whole group)

$.50/minute ($120): pays for 1 piece of choral or band music (score and parts for the whole group)

$1/minute ($240): covers 1 school instrument repair or accessory (mouthpiece, bow, etc.)

$2/minute ($480): covers 1 group dinner during travel for the band, choir, or orchestra

$3/minute ($720): 1 bus to a state or regional festival (over the mountains)
